Lumbar disc protrusion is a syndrome caused by degeneration of lumbar disc, anular disruption, and herniation of the nucleus pulposus. It would compress or stimulate the nerve roots or cauda equine and lead to clinical symptoms. It is one of the most common reason of lumbocrural pain.
