Moyamoya disease is a slowly progressive cerebrovascular disorder characterized by bilateral stenosis of the proximal anterior cerebral artery, middle cerebral artery and the distal portion of the internal carotid artery. Abnormal vascular network at the base of brain will form and is composed of numerous small and fragile blood vessels.
